--made with ableton--. Hi hat for general use made from scratch using plugins. Could be good with hip hop or boom bap. (really anything).

Sped-up reverby drone music + distortion + highpass + a couple layers of logarithmic fade-out = a pretty nice hi-hat.

Closed hi-hat (beat-box) for beats.

Bell-like sound created in pro tools by treating a hi-hat sample with the grm reson plug-in. I think of it as a blend of a gong, bell and triangle.

Some hi hat loop i made for a track i'm working on. One hat is doind some step pann pattern, another once per bar on left, another on right, and one more in the center with stereo verb.

Using fl studio to create the hit samples.

Played with shaping low-frequency noise and speeding it up, made a nice, usable cymbal. Will also upload original speed.

This series is done through layering and processing many samples of drum sounds i synthesised using various plugins namely xoxo's vst's and zynaddsubfx mixed with some old hardware samples i made a long time ago. There are 4 packs of the same series : perc snare kick and hats all using the same process.

It's techno. You can probably loop this for 30 minutes and call it a set. This loop is in 124bpm.

A short segment as i played along with the ramones' song: my brain is hanging upside down. I recorded it on my roland td-9 module and edited it in sony sound forge and sony vegas. There's a slight buzz that i get and i tried to clean it up as best i could with noise reduction. Someday i'll figure out what is causing the buzz. Please comment on what you may use it for. Sampled from custom-made 13. 5 inch hihat cymbals created by master cymbal smith mike skiba. The top cymbal weighs in at 1145 grams with the bottom weighing 1215 grams. This is a stick tap on the bow of the closed cymbals using the tip of the stick.

This is the hi-hat of the weirdbreak, a noise wave with high filter resonance.
